2016 has been a trying year for me. There have been many challenges I have had to overcome. Through it all I have not only survived, but thrived.
I have had 3 slave jobs this year. WDGP has been highly ranked, then low ranked, now doing well and getting better in rank. I have not made much progress with Children's World of Music, Inc, but I remain hopeful things will turn around for us in 2017. We really need a building.
I have had to restructure my finances and I am no where near the growth goal I set at the start of 2016.
On a positive note, I have written the first installment of my book, Winning Like A Boss!: Make Power Moves By Developing A Power Mindset, (available on Amazon Kindle) and I am working on the next one.
I have met some amazing people this year and have cultivated and nurture some existing relationships.
As I look back, it has been challenging, but I have learned a great deal and I am ready for the new challenges ahead in 2017. I can also count many blessings.
Now is the time to write out my plan for the coming year so this time next year, I can see further growth. Goodbye 2016, Hello New Year.
Happy Holidays to you one and all! God bless.
These are my thoughts and feelings about life, being an entrepreneur and living the life I want.

Everything In Its Time
This is a statement of how I am feeling right now. I am so grateful to God for grace and mercy. I just have to take a pause and thank Him. I see how far he's brought me . Only I can know where my journey has brought me from, God knows the path I am traveling, I will continue to let Him and His Son, and the Holy Spirit guide me and I will continue to follow their lead as to which move I need to make when. Doing so has not failed me so far. Hallelujah!
Of course, I am so anxious to get started providing services to children. I really wanted to be ready to start at least for limited hours through out the summer with at least Dance and Piano lessons, Of course, everything happens as it is supposed to, according to His will on His timetable. This walk is certainly teaching me this lesson. I have no doubt it will all happen as God has shown me, I am like a kid waiting for Christmas. I must be patient. I know there are still things to do and people to put in place and so I have to take a step back and let my Father do his thing.
Even as I am writing this blog, The Spirit has brought to my remembrance, the childhood friend I ran into a year ago. I stopped to give him a call before it got too late and look at God! I might have a viable space to hold charity events to benefit Children's World of Music. I have a meeting next week with the Dance Program Director and he just happens to be a great manager/promoter. I am feeling so much joy as I finish this entry. God is so good to me, even when I am going through, I am smiling. I smile because I am happy. I smile because I am glad. If his eye is on the sparrow, then I know He watches me!

Sunday, February 19, 2012
Here it is, days into the second half of February 2012. On the one hand, it seems just yesterday it was January 2011, on the other, it's been a tumultuous 13 months. I remain without a steady income. I have lost my car and I am barely holding on to my home. I have been reasons to just give up but I can not. I know it's not the end, just the clearing out for my new beginning.
I think that when things are meant to be, they just are. Take WDGP for example, through all I have been going through, the station lives on. We celebrated out 2 year anniversary on January 28, 2012. It's been an amazing time with much growth and a few changes and we will change even more this year. Although I am struggling in my personal finances, WDGP is strong and flush. There are those folk out there who never want to see it fade away. This is further confirmation that I am doing a good thing. I help people and people help me keep the station going. My Dad was right, help others for the sake of helping and you will find yourself receiving as good or better than you give.
I have been wanting to find a minister to bring the Listeners the word on Sunday morning., but I wanted the right person. Someone who brings the word right from The Good Book. I know all you have to do is ask and it will be given. God allowed me to cross paths with a wonderful man of God. I didn't know it then but he has been such a blessing to me. He is a young Pastor building his church and he has the fire for God that I was seeking. We never know when people enter our lives if they will stay for a season or for the duration, all we can do is live love and learn the lessons they bring us. Keep faithful and remain on our paths. Let God do the steering and all will be well.
I don't want you to think that it's easy for myself or anyone else, after all, we are only human, with human thoughts and feelings and as I stated earlier, there have been those times that I wonder why I continue to try to get to that better place in this life. The conclusion I always come to is that my work has not been completed yet and if God has to tear down what I have built over the last 40 years, I trust his wisdom and I comply with the plan because I know he has not brought me here to desert me now.
I thank Him for everything that He provides and I lean on Him completely. I know my strength comes from Him that created me. I want everyone that reads my postings to stop and count your blessings and forget all about your trials, for this I know, all you need do is look around at what others are going through and you will see that your not doing so bad after all. Stay encouraged, Stay prayed up and follow His path for you. For God loves you and so do I.

Through the Storm to the Sunshine
It is now December and as is my custom, I am reviewing the blogs I have posted all year. I am pleased with what I have written as well as what I have accomplished.
In July, I wrote that I needed to give up my nursing job, but that that would be a ways off. Lo and behold, I am not longer working as a nurse. I am now an Insurance Agent/Field Underwriter. Who would have thought it? Certainly not me.
It is a job I never imagined doing, but guess what, I enjoy it and I love the folks I am working with. Mostly because I am working for myself. I shared in the past that I am not an "employee" type person and now I am managing my own business (another one) and loving it and the fact that I am meeting so many folks and I am still helping. I am helping them protect their loved ones, plan for their futures and protect their assets. Life is great and God is good.
WDGP is growing by leaps and bounds and we are about to do some amazing things. I have wanted to assist the Artists not just with promotion and air play but with allowing listeners to purchase and download their music right from the WDGP website. I am please to announce here that is about to happen in a couple of weeks.
Everything is coming up Roses and I thank God for guiding my steps and putting the right people in my path. He is truly amazing and I love him with my whole heart. If you follow this blog, you know I have had my share of changes, trials and tribulations (as we all have) but through it all I have continued to praise and thank God even in the midst the the turbulence.
This is my message and my hope for you. No matter what your going through, keep your faith strong and you praise sincere, Thank God even when what you think are bad things happen and you will come out on the other side Smiling, Happy and Prosperous. Amen!
Please do stop by WDGP and have a listen, if you haven't already. It is our hope that one visit will not be enough and you will make us one of your favorite places to hear great music. Once you like us, Like us on Facebook too. Thank you.
Here is me wishing you and yours all the joy and happiness of the coming season and prosperity for the New Year and beyond. May we all remember the reason for the season and give our thanks.

Where Is This All Headed?
I'm not sure but I'm enjoying the ride. This is a beautiful morning. My weekend was calm, I got to spend time with my Grandkids yesterday. It was fun, but, they did wear me out. :-)
I got something going with my Business Partner we have some exciting things in the works! Things are moving ahead with my import/export business, there is so much to be done before I can get down to the business itself.
Everything is moving along nicely. I have big plans for the future. I am successful because I believe it to be so. God said and I claim it.
This is what we must do, Believe it, Claim it, make it happen.
Things are happening so fast that I'm dizzy with excitement. All my years of hard work is really beginning to pay off.
I have been producing some great shows lately, I had Dennis "Lucky" Taylor on and he was awesome. There was also the interview I did with Kamal Imani he and the cast from his movie In The Attic were so full of energy, I loved doing those shows and I have more on the horizon. On the 31st of this month I will be interviewing one of music's legends. I am sure if you know anything about music, you know at Brick. They will be on the show talking about their past successes and what their up to now. I hope you will join us.
I will have another announcement soon, I am taking my show to the next level which will allow me to help more people in new and innovative ways. Stay tuned for the next update.
Have a peaceful and prosperous week.

Change
I wonder why we are as a species are so afraid of change. I know that change is not always a positive thing in our eyes, but I think we should strive to change our point of view. It has been my experience that each time a change has occurred in my life, it has actually been a very good thing.
I guess today's Blogtalk show got me to thinking about this because the show did not go the way I had planned it but I think it still came out alright in the end, and those who listen to the archived show will have the benefit of something extra since Bruce Black was gracious enough to allow me to interview him after the hour was up. (I won't mention that it was mostly due to his being late. LOL) I hope you'll take a listen here. As I said I think it came out ok and I'd love to get your opinion. Leave a comment on the show page. Thanks. The show wasn't about change actually it was to showcase the talent of some of my network members (visit the network here) Jo Tongo from Camaroon west Africa, who currently resides in France. (how about that, isn't the Internet wonderful?), Bruce Black and Glenn Gordon. In the end Glenn didn't make the show at all and I only hope he's alright since I have still not been able to reach him. He's a very talented Brother and I hope to get him rescheduled soon.
Getting back to my thoughts, Yes change can be a good thing and should never be feared. I won't say that I welcome change but I don't fear it either. I like to try new things. When I do I keep hold of the things I enjoy and let the others die a natural death. If I hadn't embraced change I wouldn't be in this positive place in my life. My good friend, Sylver has challenged me to come out of my comfort zone once again. So I will accept this newest challenge because I know nothing beats a failure but a try (more on this new challenge later). I trust God to guide my steps and I am not afraid to move my feet. God has provided us with this big old universe and I feel obliged to explore and conquer as much of it as I can while I am able, so Change...bring it on. I'm ready.
