2012 Ending ...2013 Beginning

Wow, can you believe we are approaching the end of the year? Time certainly flies. As I reflect on the past year, I have much to be thankful for.
1. I was able to bring my vision into creation. Children's World of Music was created.
2. I am continuing to create this children's music and arts program, currently seeking a space to get started.
3. WDGP radio is thriving. I have Artists contacting me to book on the show Conversations.
4. Even without a job for the last year and a half I was able to keep WDGP up and growing and was able to get Children's World of Music incorporated and registered for non profit status.
5. After being without employment for a year and a half, I am in the perfect job that allows me to make money and grow my personal businesses.
6. My Family is healthy and Happy (for the most part)
7. I have started a new business in which proceeds will assist Children's World of Music.
There is much more in my blessings column but these are what I am most thankful for.

As I look forward and plan for next year, I am humbled and excited to have spoken my dream into existence. I will be looking for space as I plan fundraisers and seek out Music and dance instructors and seek a music store connection.

I will be growing my coffee business

so I can get into profit and give 30% to Children's World of Music. You all can certainly help me with this one. I know you drink coffee, coffee drinks, tea or hot chocolate, even if you don't, I know you know someone who does. Instead of spending good money on extravagant coffee at Starbucks and McDonald's why not drink great coffee that more healthful and benefits others. You might even want to join me in business since we all know we need more than a JOB to make it these days. Please stop by my website and see if anything interest you and most definitely refer others. Remember 30% of profits go directly to Children's World Of Music the rest go back into building my business. If you see me, ask me for a sample.

Stay tuned to watch our progress in 2013. God Bless and Happy Holidays to you and and yours. Please take time to enjoy life. Please see links below.

I've got my picture on the inside, Let's Go.

I am a believer in following your path and I know that every time I did something that took me from mine, I suffered because of it. Since I have gone back to truly staying on my path, the blessings continually  flow, as long as I face fear and step up to the plate and "move my feet" I know God will continue to put the right folks in the right places at the right time.  My confirmation comes from a Man who always lifts my spirit. The "Smiling Pastor" Joel Osteen. I just read this Facebook Post.

"Once You get a picture of your potential on the inside, then God can bring it to pass on the outside"

I got my picture on the inside back 2009. I have been on a mission since then, not sure where I was headed but trusting God to open necessary doors. In 2011, I lost my slave job and even as things had to change, I was able to continue on my path. WDGP was founded in January 2010. (Honestly, It appears to me now that I was always been steered toward music, from childhood.).  Now, in 2012, I have officially started the task of building a non profit organization that will support musical enrichments to Children who have a talent and desire to explore the world of music. Children's World of Music is an organization that will start in PG County Md. and grow from there. We want to be a place where low to moderate income households can send their children to an After-school, Saturday, and Summer program where children can explore and develop their musical talents in the areas of reading and writing music, poetry,  songs, recording and production of music, learning how to protect their intellectual property and more. Not only will they be able to produce it, they will be able to promote it on WDGP Radio.

We are all set, just waiting to see if we get approved for 501(3) status. if not, it won't stop the plan. We will start, even if we have to start on a smaller scale. I already have a couple of folks who have agreed  to let us use their space if need be.

See what I mean? When you stay on your path it all comes together. We will start planning fund raising events at least one this Fall/Winter season and continue from there. I am blessed with trusted, talented friends who will help me get things rolling. We already have a website and a Facebook page. Check us out and like our page so you can stay connected and informed of our progress. If you would like to donate, time. ideas or money - please contact me via email, dianabroomfield@wdgpradio.com  Thank you in advance for your support.

Wisdom  (ˈwɪzdəm)
  Noun
1. the ability or result of an ability to think and act utilizing knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense, and insight
2. accumulated knowledge, erudition, or enlightenment
3. archaic  a wise saying or wise sayings or teachings
4. obsolete  soundness of mind

Everyone says that with age comes wisdom, this is not always true. Just like the saying “commonsense isn’t common”, neither is wisdom. Often Folk continue to make the same mistakes over and over and then wonder about the outcomes. Even when a truly wise person gives advice, it is rarely heeded. My Father use to say that he wanted us to learn from his mistakes so we would not fall into the same holes he had. Of course, we never took his advice, even though, he was very often correct about our outcomes. This is a strange and human phenomenal that I think results from the need to forge our own individual paths in life.

Most would agree that it would wonderful to avoid the pitfalls of life but still we refuse to accept wise advice that could prevent at least some of them. I, myself am personally guilty of this. There have been times that I have not heeded wise advice, even from my own wisdom when the very consequence I hoped to avoid was the result. I do not claim to know the reason for this but I aspect it comes back to the ‘Let me try it this way and see” approach as opposed to the “Let me heed the wise advice and prevent trouble” approach to life. We always think we can do it better or smarter than someone else. Some of it maybe ego, we want to win our way as opposed to the tested way. Then too, everyone’s experience is truly not the same, for instance, two children can be born into the same environment but will grow up with different attitudes, abilities and morals.  As well as two children born in different environments can  grow and have the same attitudes, abilities and morals.

It would be a nice thing if we could embrace and implement the wisdom of Fathers and Mothers, but then again, maybe not. Would we have the desired outcomes for ourselves, would they all be right for us? I say not. I say as I did before that we must each make our own mistakes and learn our own lessons. The key is to learn the lesson so we do not duplicate the mistake. So it appears to me that my wisdom will always be different from your wisdom, each being personal to each of us and that is my wisdom.

 Proverbs 2:10
For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy.

Sunday, February 19, 2012

Here it is, days into the second half of February 2012. On the one hand, it seems just yesterday it was January 2011, on the other, it's been a tumultuous 13 months. I remain without a steady income. I have lost my car and I am barely holding on to my home.  I have been reasons to just give up but I can not. I know it's not the end, just the clearing out for my new beginning.

I think that when things are meant to be, they just are. Take WDGP for example, through all I have been going through, the station lives on. We celebrated out 2 year anniversary on January 28, 2012. It's been an amazing time with much growth and a few changes and we will change even more this year. Although I am struggling in my personal finances, WDGP is strong and flush. There are those folk out there who never want to see it fade away. This is further confirmation that I am doing a good thing. I help people and people help me keep the station going. My Dad was right, help others for the sake of helping and you will find yourself receiving as good or better than you give.

I have been wanting to find a minister to bring the Listeners the word on Sunday morning., but I wanted the right person. Someone who brings the word right from The Good Book. I know all you have to do is ask and it will be given. God allowed me to cross paths with a wonderful man of God. I didn't know it then but he has been such a blessing to me. He is a young Pastor building his church and he has the fire for God that I was seeking. We never know when people enter our lives if they will stay for a season or for the duration, all we can do is live love and learn the lessons they bring us. Keep faithful and remain on our paths. Let God do the steering and all will be well.

I don't want you to think that it's easy for myself or anyone else, after all,  we are only human, with human thoughts and feelings and as I stated earlier, there have been those times that I wonder why I continue to try to get to that better place in this life.  The conclusion I always come to is that my work has not been completed yet and if God has to tear down what I have built over the last 40 years, I trust his wisdom and I comply with the plan because I know he has not brought me here to desert me now.

I thank Him for everything that He provides and I lean on Him completely. I know my strength comes from Him that created me. I want everyone that reads my postings to stop and count your blessings and forget all about your trials, for this I know, all you need do is look around at what others are going through and you will see that your not doing so bad after all. Stay encouraged, Stay prayed up and follow His path for you. For God loves you and so do I.
